All motels and hotels seem to have the same rule about reservation and checkout time. You need to let them know ahead of time that you wish to stay at their facility. You also need to let them know the duration of your stay. They all tag on another day of charge if you are not out by noon of the checkout date. You could also show up without reservation, and if the place is not full you can get a room, but if it is full to capacity, you are out of luck! Try another one.
There is another place with slightly different rules. To go to that place, you most definitely have to make a reservation; you can’t just show up. If you just show up, you will be turned away not because there is no room, but because you have not made your wishes known ahead of time. If every single person on earth made a reservation to that place, there will be enough room to accommodate all, so availability of space is not the issue. The issue is making your reservation in a timely manner!
