1. Do you claim to be a Christian?
2. How did you become a Christian?
“Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31a).
3. What is the proof that you are a Christian?
“If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ” (Rom 8:9b)
“Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God” (Rom 8:14).
So do you have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit? (Every Christian does. It happens when you first believe in Jesus). After believing in Jesus, are you being led and directed by the Holy Spirit, or are you doing your own thing? Are you living to please yourself and the devil, or are you living your life in obedience to God?
4. Is your claim of being a Christian only lip-service?
“These people come near me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men” (Isa 29:13). God wants your heart and your allegiance!
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven” (Mt 7:21).
Friends, examine your hearts, and make sure your claims are true.
